DELIVERY ADVICE

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Our tailored, traditional kilts are made in Glasgow, by some of the best kilt makers in Scotland. These are beautifully made kilts with great attention to detail. The Laird himself wears them.
Lairds and Ladies all qualify to wear the Dunans Rising tartan as they have contributed to the restoration of the castle, helping Dunans 'rise'. Each Kilt purchased will also make a direct contribution to the restoration. In fact, we calculate that if we sell 2,000 kilts we will have raised enough through kilt sales alone to re-roof the castle!
Dunans Rising (tartan no. 10821) takes its inspiration from several sources: the colours and textures of the castle and castle policies, and in particular the exotic rhododendrons and splendid trees which surround this glorious B-listed structure; the light, love and laughter of the family who live on site, beside the castle; the building’s history and heritage; the community that lives in the glens and hills around Dunans; and lastly, and especially, our lairds and ladies – the community of interest from all over the world who visit the castle and its grounds on a regular and ongoing basis, whether in person, or virtually.
Woven exclusively for Dunans Castle Limited by hand-picked mills like Bute Fabrics and Lochcarron, the Dunans Rising tartan has been registered with the Scottish Register of Tartans and is sold only by Dunans Castle Limited
Measurements for your Dunans Rising Kilt
When measuring the waist, ensure the gentleman continues to talk as his assistant measures the waist at bellybutton level. The hips are to be measured at the widest point. The waist-to-knee measurement is to mid-knee from the bellybutton level.
Delivery
Because each kilt is individually made, delivery can be up to 10 - 12 weeks, and occasionally longer in busy periods for the tailors. We can liaise with you throughout the process, should you wish to know where in the process your kilt is.
