This July Wee Wild Weddings brought Jon & Madeline to Dunans for a truly romantic elopement – and we have just received access to all their wonderful photos so we thought we would share them! With all the nuptial elements that our gorgeous ruined castle can bring, the happy couple had a wonderful time, staying in the Lairds' Retreat and hand-fasting on the meadow in front of the castle.

Refettling the Header Tank
with a New Race...

A short video showing the result of a day's work this week. We'd been struggling with an old and battered header tank for quite a while, and particularly during heavy rainfall we were suffering from repeated blockages.

During a recent research project on microhydro, I came across some footage of a header race which seemed to answer all the gross filtration needs we required, and resolved to produce one for our water intake. The video below shows the result, as well as starring our springer spaniel Pepper!
